\nEasyjet announces that newly appointed CEO Johan Lundgren has voluntarily agreed to reduce his salary to match that of his predecessor, Carolyn McCall.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201dAt easyJet, we are fully committed to equal pay and equal opportunities for women and men. I want this to be the case for everyone at easyJet, and to show my personal commitment, I have asked the Board to reduce my salary to match Carolyn\u2019s when she was at easyJet, says Johan Lundgren in a statement.<\/p>\n

Swedish Lundgren, who previously worked for the travel giant TUI, also says that Easyjet has come further than other airlines when it comes to attracting female pilots. The company has a goal by 2020 to reach a share of 20 percent female pilots.<\/p>\n

Initially, Johan Lundgren received an annual salary of \u00a3740,000, which will now be reduced to \u00a3706,000. Other aspects of the remuneration package are identical to what Carolyn McCall had.<\/p>\n
