\nOn February 1, 2018, the Swedish Transport Agency's new rules for flying drones came into effect.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The rules now also apply to those who fly privately.<\/p>\n

The development and technology of drones bring fantastic opportunities, but also great responsibility. It is important that the drone user knows where and how a drone is allowed to fly.<\/p>\n

The new rules for flying unmanned aircraft mean, among other things, that it is only permitted to fly at a distance greater than 5 kilometers from the runway at an airport, 1 kilometer from a helipad, and that flying may not take place at a shorter distance or in a way that could interfere with an ongoing rescue operation.<\/p>\n

Safety is a priority in aviation operations. Violations of the Swedish Transport Agency's rules endanger human safety. The Swedish Transport Agency's rules are designed to ensure safe conditions in the airspace and avoid injuries or accidents. In the event of a violation of the Swedish Transport Agency's rules, the drone pilot risks fines or imprisonment.<\/p>\n
