\nThe research company PT Scientist, with the help of telephone companies Vodafone and Nokia, will provide the moon with a mobile data network. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The first parts will be delivered to the lunar surface in 2019 with the help of Elon Musk's space company Space X.<\/p>\n

The project was presented at the major annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.<\/p>\n

The idea is to provide the moon with a 4G network to send images of the lunar landscape back to Earth. The network can also be used for communication between vehicles and to explore whether humans can live on the moon.<\/p>\n

People choose 4G instead of the newer 5G because the latter is still in the development stage and not stable enough.<\/p>\n

The Nokia masts will be transported to the moon via Space X rocket from Cape Canaveral. The project will be the first privately funded moon landing ever.<\/p>\n
