\nThe troubled European aircraft manufacturer Airbus is to cut its number of employees by up to 3,700, and the crisis is hitting several countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The company is having problems with sales of the large passenger aircraft A380 and with delivery delays and technical problems with the military transport aircraft A400M.<\/p>\n

The cuts affect 1,900 jobs in Germany, 850 in Spain, 470 in France and 450 in the UK.<\/p>\n

Consultants and people with temporary contracts will be the first to go.<\/p>\n

Airbus says the company will handle the package in a "responsible manner" towards employees.<\/p>\n
