\nThe winter tourism company Skistar reports a profit after tax of SEK 542 million for the second quarter of the broken financial year (480).<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Earnings per share amounted to SEK 13.58 (12.07).<\/p>\n

Profit before tax was SEK 703 million (618).<\/p>\n

Net sales amounted to SEK 1,342 million (1,241).<\/p>\n

\u201d"Winter arrived early this season - the cold and snowfall have continued, which has meant that Skistar's ski facilities have been in full operation for almost the entire period. This is the underlying explanation for Skistar presenting the best half-year result in its history," writes the company's CEO Mars \u00c5rjes in the report.<\/p>\n

Skistar will invest SEK 303 million for the upcoming 2018\/2019 season. This is stated in the half-year report.<\/p>\n

This applies primarily to extensive replacement investments, modernizations and enhanced snowmaking capacity.<\/p>\n

In the last report, just before Christmas, the investment budget was 308 million SEK.<\/p>\n

Skistar's booking situation for the remainder of the season (from week 10 to the end of the season) is 6.5 percent higher than at the same time last year.<\/p>\n

\u201d"The relatively early Easter means earlier booking behavior than last year. The booking situation and the good snow availability at all our facilities mean that we believe in continued positive development of Ski Pass revenues," the company writes.<\/p>\n

Advance bookings of accommodation, through Skistar, for 2018\/19 have increased compared to the same time last year, it is further stated without the company providing a forecast of the entire booking situation.<\/p>\n
