Sources say that American is looking for between 25 and 30 aircraft, which corresponds to a contract value of between $7 billion and $8.5 billion for Boeing.<\/p>\n<p>If the deal goes through, it would also be a victory for General Electric, which will supply the model with aircraft engines instead of competitor Rolls-Royce.
