After just one year, Swish has become the most common way to pay for train tickets in SJ's app. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Six out of ten customers choose it. So far, four million purchases have been made via the service and SJ travellers have collectively Swished over 1.1 billion kronor.<\/p>\n

SJ was one of the first travel companies to offer its customers the option to pay for their journey with Swish, starting in March last year. Of all ticket purchases made within SJ's app, 60 percent are paid for with Swish. Swish is primarily used for lower amounts and for short, single journeys. The most Swish purchases are made in the Stockholm area.<\/p>\n

Success is evident in the increasing number of people choosing to book their journeys in SJ's app rather than at ticket machines. Customer satisfaction with the digital channels has risen, and many are positive about Swish as a payment method. When sj.se was named Sweden's best website, seamless payment options were an important factor. The citation mentioned, among other things, that sj.se was one of the first travel websites to offer payment via Swish.<\/p>\n
