{"id":231606,"date":"2018-04-16T07:00:45","date_gmt":"2018-04-16T05:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/?p=231606"},"modified":"2024-02-02T11:41:22","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T11:41:22","slug":"the-tourism-director-on-oland-resigns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/en\/turistchefen-pa-oland-sager-upp-sig\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00d6land tourism director resigns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u00d6land&#039;s tourism director Staffan Smedfors is resigning. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He has resigned and will be leaving the last day of July this year, but will leave the role of tourism manager with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p>According to Barometern, an employee survey previously showed that staff thought the working climate was poor and the goals unclear.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 It is Staffan Smedfors&#039; own decision to resign, says Ann Willsund, head of \u00d6land&#039;s Local Government Association, to P4 Kalmar.<\/p>\n<p>Ann Willsund does not want to comment further on the significance of the results of the employee survey for Staffan Smedfors leaving.<\/p>\n<p>Jens Odevall, deputy union manager, will take over Smedfor&#039;s duties until further notice.<\/p>\n<p>In what way is it better that Jens Odevall, who also has other managerial duties, takes over than that Smedfors continues until the end of time?<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 We want continuity in our work with tourism and to be able to focus on the future.
