\nAll passengers survived when a plane crashed in the Mexican state of Durango.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The plane reportedly belonged to the Mexican airline Aerom\u00e9xico and was en route to Mexico City.<\/p>\n

It was at 4:00 PM on Tuesday afternoon that the plane crashed, just five minutes after taking off from Guadalupe Victoria International Airport, local newspaper El Sol del Durango reports.<\/p>\n

A reporter from the local newspaper Milenio claims to have seen passengers walking on foot from the crashed plane to seek help on the highway.<\/p>\n

The plane, an Embraer 190 with 97 passengers and 4 crew members on board, was en route from Durango to Mexico City. According to eyewitness accounts, the plane caught fire after takeoff, shortly after a heavy hailstorm.<\/p>\n

85 people are reported to have been injured, the majority with minor injuries, according to a spokesperson for the Durango state civil defense.<\/p>\n

It is currently unclear why the plane crashed.<\/p>\n
