\nLufthansa transported 13.7 million passengers in September, an increase of 8.8 percent year-on-year.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The cabin load factor, which measures how full the planes are, rose by 0.8 percentage points to 84.5 percent during the month.<\/p>\n

Capacity, ASK, rose by 7.3 percent while Lufthansa's sales increased by 8.3 percent. On the freight side, capacity increased by 6.2 percent while sales were down 1.6 percent.<\/p>\n

The company's low-cost venture Eurowings recorded 3.8 million passengers during the month. 3.5 million of these were on short-haul flights. The number of passengers represents growth of 14.4 percent compared to the same period last year.<\/p>\n
