\nNext week, the world's best chefs and pastry chefs will gather in Lyon to participate in the World Food and Pastry Championships.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

There is also a rustic table from Sweden, with gourmet dishes made from ingredients from the Swedish countryside. The table otherwise stands among moss and pine trees and is part of Visit Sweden's campaign The Edible Country, which aims to get foreign tourists to discover the accessible Swedish countryside.<\/p>\n

Just over a week ago, Visit Sweden and Swedish tourist regions launched the campaign The Edible Country, where foreign tourists can book a specially designed table at seven scenic locations in Sweden with Bookatable. In the campaign, Visit Sweden highlights the country as the world's largest gourmet restaurant, where guests can cook a healthy gourmet meal from ingredients they themselves collect in the forest and land. The recipes with, for example, perch, juniper berries and chanterelles have been composed by chefs Titti Qvarnstr\u00f6m, Niklas Ekstedt, Anton Bjuhr and Jacob Holmstr\u00f6m.<\/p>\n

The world championships for chefs and pastry chefs, Bocuse d'Or and Coupe du Monde de la P\u00e2tisserie, will be held in Lyon between 27 and 30 January. One of the tables from The Edible Country campaign will be set up at the competition area, where Visit Sweden will offer international journalists a taste of the destination Sweden. The table will otherwise be in the forests of Sm\u00e5land, and a chef from Asa Herrg\u00e5rd north of V\u00e4xj\u00f6 will also prepare samples from the campaign's recipes.<\/p>\n

With the initiative in Lyon, Visit Sweden wants to inspire journalists about the destination Sweden and the spectacular thing about gathering ingredients yourself and preparing a gourmet meal in the beautiful and accessible Swedish nature.<\/p>\n

The foreign tourists to whom Visit Sweden directs its marketing of Sweden are very interested in getting to know Sweden on a deeper level, for example nature, culture and lifestyle, Swedish food and drink, and Swedish traditions.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Interest in eating healthy food is increasing and we want to let more people experience the rich pantry that Swedish nature offers.
