Of these trips, Chinese people themselves accounted for more than seven million, an increase of 16 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The increased travel is happening despite the country&#039;s economy having lost momentum recently.<\/p>\n<p>The most popular destinations for accommodation in China were Thailand, Japan, Vietnam and South Korea.
