On Monday, the ground breaking ceremony for the expansion of J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping Airport was held.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

An initiative that has not been hindered by the announcement of the canceled line between J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping and Frankfurt.<\/p>\n

The expansion of the airport means that by winter there will be room for larger aircraft and the ability to receive biofuel. <\/p>\n

Last Saturday, it was announced that the airline BMI, which operated the route between J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping and Frankfurt, has gone bankrupt and all departures have been canceled.<\/p>\n

But this does not affect the airport or the construction, according to Rony Forsberg, CEO of J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping Airport.<\/p>\n

\u2013 I will already be meeting with other potential operators on Wednesday and Thursday. We are still full of confidence and believe that we will have a strong and positive development going forward, says Rony Forsberg.<\/p>\n
