A total of 346 people died in both crashes.<\/p>\n<p>The pilots have stated that the planes plunged shortly after they engaged the autopilot. In both cases, the pilots regained control of the planes and straightened them out after the autopilot was disengaged. The two safety reports, which came last year, are voluntary and anonymous.<\/p>\n<p>According to the pilots&#039; statements, the plane&#039;s computer system is not the cause of the problems.<\/p>\n<p>The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) announced on Tuesday evening that all flights with the Boeing 737 Max 8 model will be stopped following Sunday&#039;s crash in Ethiopia. The announcement came after several countries and airlines decided earlier in the day to stop using the aircraft model.
