\nIf the delay is more than two hours, the airline must offer free food and drinks.<\/p>\n

If the flight is delayed until the next day, the airline will be responsible for overnight hotel accommodation and transportation to and from the airport.<\/p>\n

If your flight is delayed by more than five hours to your final destination, the airline must offer you rebooking or a refund of your ticket.<\/p>\n

The airline is obliged to refund your ticket costs within 7 days.<\/p>\n

Remember that you must be able to prove what costs you have incurred and they must be linked to the delay in order for you to claim compensation for them. Save all receipts for your expenses as proof. If you want compensation for lost income, you need to show a certificate from your employer. You can receive a maximum of around SEK 54,000 in compensation for your expenses. <\/p>\n

If your flight is canceled, the airline should offer you three options.
\nYou will receive a refund for the portion of your ticket that you were unable to use.
\nYour trip will be rescheduled so that you arrive as soon as possible.
\nYour trip will be rescheduled for another time that suits you.
\nYou always have the right to choose between a refund and rebooking, regardless of the reason for the flight cancellation.<\/p>\n

General compensation:<\/strong>
\nIf you are delayed by more than three hours to your final destination (compared to the scheduled arrival time), you have the right to claim the following compensation from the airline:
\n250 euros for all flights of up to 1,500 kilometers
\n\u20ac400 for all intra-EU flights longer than 1,500 kilometres and for all other flights between 1,500 and 3,500 kilometres long
\n600 euros for all other flights covered by EU rules.<\/p>\n

When the flight distance is more than 3,500 km outside the EU and is covered by EU rules, the basic compensation is 600 euros. However, if the delay is less than 4 hours compared to the original one, you will receive half, i.e. 300 euros, in compensation.<\/p>\n

The airline is not obliged to pay compensation if the delayed flight is due to \u201dextraordinary circumstances which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken\u201d.<\/p>\n

Examples of extraordinary circumstances:<\/strong>
\npolitical instability
\nweather conditions that make it impossible to fly
\nsecurity risks
\nunforeseen shortcomings in flight safety
\nwhen there is a strike that affects the airline's operations.<\/p>\n
