The advice against all travel abroad remains in place until July 15 \u2013 but may be lifted before then, according to Foreign Minister Ann Linde (S). Anyone who defies the recommendation cannot count on any help from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs if problems arise during the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From mid-June, anyone without symptoms of COVID-19 will be free to travel around Sweden. However, when it comes to traveling outside the country's borders, the previous recommendation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains in place - even though many countries around the world are now opening up to tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the decision may be lifted before July 15, according to Foreign Minister Ann Linde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201d"We are following developments closely and this may change if we make a different assessment. But as it stands today, our advice remains firm," Linde tells TT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, SAS will start flying to destinations around the Mediterranean at the end of June \u2013 despite the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' advice. Linde does not answer the question of what risks she sees with this, but states that the responsibility lies with the individual traveler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201d"It is an advice and not a ban on traveling. It is up to each traveler to make their own assessment whether they want to travel despite the advice. Each person must take their own responsibility," she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
