Young protesters also gathered on Monday in several other cities in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Muhammadu Buhari's government has disbanded the Special Police Command, abbreviated as Sars, after reports of brutal methods triggered the widespread protests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The protests have been largely peaceful, but tensions and unrest have increased recently. In total, at least 15 people have been killed, including two police officers, since October 8, according to human rights organization Amnesty International. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
