TUI is embarking on a long-term initiative to broaden its offering from sun and water to include ski trips to the Swedish mountains. In collaboration with Scandinavian Mountains Airport, the tour operator will open six new flight routes within Sweden to S\u00e4len starting in December.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new flights will depart from Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malm\u00f6 on Thursdays and Sundays between December and March, on selected dates from Norrk\u00f6ping, \u00c4ngelholm-Helsingborg and V\u00e4xj\u00f6. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 It is extremely pleasing that TUI is choosing to invest in the domestic market with new direct routes to S\u00e4len and, during challenging times, sees new opportunities, says Charlotte Ljunggren, Director of Market and Commercial Development at Swedavia.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Health and safety is our top priority and in addition to the recommendations of the Public Health Agency of Sweden, we follow international regulations in the aviation industry and have introduced the recommendation to wear face masks and other comprehensive measures to create a safe environment for travelers as well as employees at all our airports, continues Charlotte Ljunggren.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Ski holidays are something we have been looking at launching for a long time, now we saw an opportunity. We hope that many of our customers appreciate the opportunity to easily fly directly with us to one of the most popular ski resorts in Sweden. S\u00e4len offers activities in fresh mountain air, I think many people are longing for it, says Tommy Serban, commercial manager at TUI.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To ensure safety on the flight, TUI offers online check-in whenever possible. They have also taken other careful measures such as deep cleaning of flights between departures and the planes are equipped with so-called HEPA filters that purify the air according to hospital standards. HEPA filters capture 99.97 percent of all microfibres and thus significantly limit the spread of airborne droplets on board.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
