The authority will make a new decision in January based on the then-current status of the compensation cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency is investigating in parallel cases where there are several airlines operating in Norway that are suffering from the same old compensation claims, but at the same time notes that SAS and Norwegian stand out in this regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Norwegian also does not currently meet the compensation requirements under the Air Passenger Regulation, but since the company is in restructuring, it is not possible to impose a fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201d&quot;We are clear that the airlines have made a great effort to pay back claims, but we believe that they should have reached their goal now, 9 months after the Covid-19 pandemic began causing cancelled flights,&quot; says Director of Aviation Lars Kobberstad in a comment and adds:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201d&quot;We understand that airlines are in a demanding situation, both financially and in other ways, but are also keen that customers get their money back according to legitimate demands.&quot;\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Source: di.se<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Norska luftfartsmyndigheten Luftfartstilsynet har utdelat en miljon norska kronor i b\u00f6ter f\u00f6r att man varit sena med att ers\u00e4tta kunder f\u00f6r inst\u00e4llda resor.\u00a0 Myndigheten konstaterar att\u00a0SAS\u00a0fortfarande ligger l\u00e5ngt efter i sin hantering av coronarelaterade ers\u00e4ttningskrav och noterar att dagens beslut bygger p\u00e5 status den 1 december.
