{"id":237993,"date":"2021-04-26T07:01:00","date_gmt":"2021-04-26T05:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/?p=237993"},"modified":"2024-02-02T12:53:27","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T12:53:27","slug":"the-government-is-investigating-the-stockholm-oslo-express-train","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/en\/regeringen-utreder-snabbtag-stockholm-oslo\/","title":{"rendered":"The government is investigating the Stockholm-Oslo high-speed train"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government will look more closely at the possibilities of creating a high-speed train connection between Stockholm and Oslo, writes Infrastructure Minister Tomas Eneroth (S) on Twitter, reports\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.svt.se\/nyheter\/lokalt\/varmland\/regeringen-vill-utreda-snabbtag-stockholm-oslo\">SVT Varmland<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eneroth, he has had talks with his Norwegian ministerial colleague Knut Arild Hareide about the high-speed train connection between the cities and that they agreed to start work on looking at how this could be realized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201d&quot;It feels fantastic that we are now going from a good idea to looking at how it could be realized,&quot; says Jonas Andersson, CEO of Oslo-Stockholm 2.55, the publicly owned company that is driving the issue of a high-speed train connection between the capitals, to SVT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A journey between<\/strong>&nbsp;Stockholm and Oslo currently take just over five hours.
