Ann succeeds Peter Weinhandl, Airport Director Malm\u00f6 Airport\/Swedavia, who is stepping down after five years in the position.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ann Nystr\u00f6m has been a member of the board for the past five years, then as a representative of Sk\u00e5ne&#039;s Municipalities. She has a solid background in tourism and destination development, including as a destination manager in Malm\u00f6, and as a hotel and restaurant entrepreneur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\u2013 Our board encourages us to be at the forefront of the development of Sk\u00e5ne as an innovative and sustainable destination. With Ann Nystr\u00f6m as chairman of the board, we look forward to continuing to build the business to take a leading role as a regional destination management company, says Pia J\u00f6nsson Rajg\u00e5rd, CEO of Tourism in Sk\u00e5ne AB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2019, Tourism in Sk\u00e5ne AB prepared both a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/tourisminskane.com\/sv\/om-oss\/tourism-matters-2030\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">strategic roadmap for Sk\u00e5ne towards 2030<\/a>, together with the public promotion system, and a business plan for the company. The main elements in these are the role of tourism in community development, where both residents and visitors contribute to tourism having a positive effect on the destination. To succeed, good conditions for innovation and joint efforts to balance visitor flows are required. In this work, the board plays an important role, by guiding the company with its perspectives from different areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0\u2013 I am super excited about the assignment!
