At the same time, 9.1 million foreign tourist overnight stays were recorded, while domestic tourists achieved 2.7 million overnight stays. These are the first data from the eVisitor system, which records the tourist traffic generated in commercial and non-commercial establishments and nautical charter (eCrew system)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most overnight stays were recorded in Istria (3.6 million), Kvarner (2.2 million) and Split-Dalmatia (1.8 million), followed by Zadar (1.6 million), \u0160ibenik-Knin County (732,000 thousand) and Dubrovnik-Neretva County (624,000 thousand).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rovinj recorded the highest number of overnight stays (681,000 thousand) since the beginning of the year, followed by Zagreb (427,000 thousand) and Pore\u010d (418,000 thousand). The largest number of foreign overnight stays in 2021 so far were recorded from Germany (2.4 million), Slovenia (1.5 million), Austria (987,000 thousand), Poland (866,000 thousand) and the Czech Republic (681,000 thousand). In terms of accommodation type, the most overnight stays were recorded in household establishments, hotels and camps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201dSo far, we are very pleased with the results of the 2021 tourism year and with the coming months.\u201d<\/em><em>prospects. Currently there are <\/em><em>425,000 tourists in Croatia, which is about 100,000 more than at the same time last year. In the coming weeks, the peak of the season awaits, and we must all be aware that the prerequisite for these results to continue is a favorable epidemiological situation in Croatia. The recognition of Croatia as a safe destination for which tourists choose our country gives us the opportunity for better economic results and continued development of tourism, and thus a faster economic recovery,\u201d says Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201d&quot;According to<\/em><em>result<\/em><em>it<\/em><em> achieved in the first half of this year, Croatia remains at the top among the safest and most sought-after tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. In June alone, we achieved over 60 percent more than in June last year. We have entered the most important part of the tourist season, where we expect the largest number of guests from <\/em><em>our biggest<\/em><em> markets, where we are currently running a major campaign\u201d<\/em><em>Trust me, I\u2019ve been there.\u201d<\/em><em>\u201d&quot;. We can be satisfied with the results that <\/em><em>to date <\/em><em>&quot;The target has been achieved, but at the same time we must be careful because a favorable epidemiological situation is a prerequisite for the season to continue normally. Let us be conscientious and responsible so that we do not jeopardize the most important tourist months ahead,&quot; says Kristjan Stani\u010di\u0107, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In June this year, the number of arrivals was 1.5 million and the number of overnight stays was 7.9 million, i.e. 62 % more arrivals and 61 % more overnight stays than in June 2020. The most tourist nights were recorded in Istria (2.4 million), Kvarner (1.5 million) and in Split-Dalmatia County (1.3 million), while the most popular destinations were Rovinj with 439,000 overnight stays, Pore\u010d (266,000 thousand) and Vir (232,000 thousand).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Croatia&#039;s top priority is the safety of its residents and visitors. The country is continuously taking the necessary measures to ensure this. In response to the current situation, the Croatian authorities have introduced new entry conditions for EU and Schengen citizens to Croatia.
