{"id":238413,"date":"2021-08-18T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-08-18T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/?p=238413"},"modified":"2024-02-02T12:52:25","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T12:52:25","slug":"the-call-to-stop-taping-airline-passengers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/en\/uppmaningen-sluta-tejpa-fast-flygpassagerare\/","title":{"rendered":"The call: Stop taping airline passengers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">United Airlines has asked its employees to stop using duct tape to restrain unruly passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">According to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/business\/2021\/aug\/17\/united-airlines-flight-crews-duct-tape-unruly-passengers\">The Guardian\u00a0<\/a>a message was sent out last week urging employees to \u201cremember that there are special items <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now that travel has started to pick up again, airline staff in the US have reported an increased number of incidents with unruly travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">on board that can be used in difficult situations\u201d and that alternative methods such as tape must never be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The message was sent out shortly after American Airlines flight attendants had to restrain a woman with tape after she tried to open the plane&#039;s door mid-flight,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not long after, another incident occurred at Frontier Airlines, where duct tape was used to restrain a man in his seat after he behaved aggressively and tried to grab a flight attendant&#039;s breasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Source: Aftonbladet<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Flygbolaget United Airlines har bett sina anst\u00e4llda att sluta anv\u00e4nda silvertejp f\u00f6r att h\u00e5lla fast st\u00f6kiga passagerare.
