The first charter route and international air traffic in almost 1.5 years will go to Crete, Greece. Ahead of the autumn holidays, TUI is expanding its offering with weekly direct departures to the Canary Islands, Spain. At the same time, Ving is also restarting its charter flights from Ume\u00e5 to Gran Canaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although travel is still heavily affected by the pandemic, demand for air travel has increased, both in the form of scheduled flights and charter flights. During the summer, all of Swedavia&#039;s airports experienced a large increase in traffic and passenger numbers compared to previous months. In July, more than 28,000 passengers flew domestically from Ume\u00e5 Airport, approximately half the number of passengers compared to the same month in 2019, before the pandemic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 We are of course very pleased that we are seeing increased demand and the beginning of a recovery for aviation.
