The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Denmark is increasing sharply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now the government wants to once again classify Covid-19 as a critical disease for society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201d"The development is worrying," says Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) at a press conference on Monday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201d"The Epidemic Commission has recommended to the government that we categorize corona as a critical disease for society again and introduce corona passports."\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the passport to be reintroduced, COVID-19 must be categorized as a critical disease for society. The government will present this proposal to the Folketing on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier in the evening, a meeting was held between Minister of Health and Medical Services Magnus Heunicke (S) and the parties in the Folketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Corona pass will be introduced in selected places, including indoor restaurants, nightclubs and major concerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201d"I think it's easy to live with the corona passport. It gives you security when you go to the cinema or a concert if you know that the others are vaccinated or have tested negative," says Mette Frederiksen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She urges all those who are not vaccinated to do so now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201dAnd those of you who have been offered a third dose should accept it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In one month, the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 has tripled. On Monday morning, the number was 303, of which 36 were in intensive care. This is the highest number of hospitalizations since February 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The number of newly infected people is over 2,000 for the fifth day in a row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
