The fire is an illustration.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a couple of years of absence, the eyes are now once again turned to the Caribbean with old favorites like Mexico, Jamaica, Aruba and<strong> <\/strong>Dominican Republic. The last time Ving flew to the Caribbean was in the winter of 2019\/20. Vietnam is also back in the program for next winter. In addition, Ving and its own airline Sunclass Airlines are investing in a brand new long-haul aircraft in the fleet, an A330-900neo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new aircraft will primarily serve Caribbean destinations as well as Phu Quoc in Vietnam and Phuket in Thailand, based at Arlanda. Ving&#039;s A330-900neo will have up to 23 percent less CO2 emissions per seat kilometer and a reduced noise level by 33 percent compared to the current long-haul flights with Sunclass Airlines&#039; A330-200 fleet. The onboard experience will also be improved in the form of new ergonomic seats for a more comfortable journey, each seat will also be equipped with larger video screens and the cabin will receive so-called mood lightening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013&nbsp;<em>With the new aircraft, we will be able to offer our passengers an even better flying experience, but above all, with Neon we are taking an important step in our sustainability work, which we will have reason to return to shortly. This year&#039;s winter release is the earliest ever, where we want to meet the demand from many of our customers who already want to be sun-safe for next winter. The Caribbean destinations are very popular and in demand, so it feels great to be able to once again turn our attention to the west,&nbsp;<\/em>says Claes Pellvik, Head of Communications at Ving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ving&#039;s offer for next winter does not only include long-haul destinations in the Caribbean and Asia. The Canary Islands, with Gran Canaria and Tenerife, are and remain the Swedes&#039; winter favorite and charter flights will be offered there several times a week from the major airports as well as departures from regional airports around the country. In addition, Ving flies to Cape Verde, Madeira and Gambia. More charter destinations will be released in the future, such as Egypt and Fuerteventura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>New aircraft in the fleet in record time<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Typically, manufacturers like Airbus have several years of lead time for orders for new aircraft, but in the wake of the pandemic where many airlines have had to cancel planned orders, Ving and Sunclass Airlines have been able to add a new aircraft to the fleet in record time. The new A330-900 Neon is currently being built at the Airbus factory in Toulouse and is expected to be completed by autumn 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013&nbsp;<em>The expansion and upgrade of our aircraft fleet is a direct extension of the Nordic strategy for Sunclass Airlines, Ving and sister companies in the Nordics.
