More than 4,500 flights have been canceled worldwide over the holiday season, largely due to the omicron variant of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, chaos continues in the air, with hundreds of flights delayed, according to the website Flightaware. On Friday, delays reached around 11,000, and the number of canceled departures amounted to around 2,400.
