A stowaway has been discovered in the wheel well of an airplane in Amsterdam \u2013 which had arrived from South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The man is alive, but has not yet been identified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is believed to have sneaked into the cargo plane's front wheel before it took off from an airport in Johannesburg. A flight between Johannesburg and Amsterdam takes an average of around eleven hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
"It's quite remarkable that he's still alive," says police spokeswoman Joanne Helmonds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The man was taken to hospital, but his condition is described as stable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
