Fortunately, the High Coast&#039;s offer of fantastic nature has attracted visitors and has been just right in times of pandemic. The tourism industry in the High Coast was well prepared for last year&#039;s peak season and the feeling during the summer and large parts of the autumn was strongly positive among many of our entrepreneurs. July 2021 was also a record month for the destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 When we now look at the figures for 2021, we are both happy and proud of the joint successes of all players. H\u00f6ga Kusten&#039;s entrepreneurs have shown great flexibility and drive and, despite uncertain times, they have continued to sharpen their offerings based on current restrictions. It is especially nice to see that our efforts to lift new seasons are now also bearing fruit, says Mia Karlsson, CEO of H\u00f6ga Kusten Destination Development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><br \/><\/strong><strong>More people are visiting the High Coast throughout the year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Despite the fact that 2021 has been a pandemic year \u2013 we see that foreign guests have started to find their way back to us \u2013 and that our year-round facilities have had an autumn\/winter season with better occupancy than before the pandemic. It is also pleasing that accommodation revenue per occupied room has increased, says Mia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013Long-term sustainable destination development work is now extra important for us as a destination to continue to reap success in the future. For the profitability of companies, it is essential that visitors find us outside the summer months and that they generate greater revenue.
