Finnair continues to update its traffic program in the wake of the closure of Russian airspace. The company is canceling its flights to Osaka and Hong Kong but will continue with passenger flights to Shanghai and Seoul thanks to the significant increase in freight prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting Thursday, Finnair will fly to Shanghai once a week and starting Saturday, the company will have three routes a week to Seoul in South Korea. The airlines avoid Russian airspace, which means significant effects on flight times and fuel prices, but since the company also operates freight traffic on the routes, and freight prices have gone up, passenger traffic is also possible, according to a press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finnair is simultaneously canceling its flights to Osaka and Hong Kong until the end of April but, as previously announced, will continue to fly to Tokyo with four flights per week starting March 9. Finnair also continues to fly to Bangkok, Delhi, Phuket and Singapore, with routes that avoid Russian airspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finnair's largest owner is the Finnish state, which owns 55.9 percent of the shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
