The figures show that the archipelago in 2021 had over:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4.4 million<\/strong>&nbsp;visitors.&nbsp;<br \/><br \/>The Archipelago Barometer is an initiative from the Archipelago Foundation and is funded in collaboration with the Stockholm Region, the County Administrative Board and Stockholm Archipelago. It is based on mobile data and is a pioneering project in visitor counting in Sweden.<br \/><br \/>In the first step in developing the tool, we have produced figures on how many people visit the Archipelago Foundation&#039;s areas, but now we have also produced figures for the entire Stockholm archipelago. The archipelago definition used is islands without a fixed connection, the same definition that Region Stockholm uses, among other things, in the regional development plan RUFS 2050.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What do the numbers say?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Overall, the figures confirm what we already know about the schizotopic burden on the archipelago, where the curve today looks like an alpine peak in the middle of summer. It is something that all stakeholders in the archipelago would like to see change.<br \/>We are therefore working towards a new season \u2013 namely the wonderful autumn, with a special focus on September. Something that would smooth out the curve going forward, so that we see more of a Swedish soft mountain in the statistics.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In numbers, this means that on the most visited day \u2013 Midsummer Eve, we have 69,000 visitors to the archipelago. At the same time, a day in mid-January has 3,500 visitors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The figures also indicate that we will reach a capacity ceiling in July, with fully utilized beds and a lot of boats out. We see this primarily because the figures in July move very little between 2019-2021, and then overall we have seen several movements linked to the pandemic during the rest of the year.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/li><li>We can also see that there are cautious figures showing an increase during the winter, which will be exciting to follow in 2022.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comparative figures<\/strong>: Measuring through mobile data is something that is now becoming more and more popular, but so far there is a lack of data from other well-visited coastal areas such as the West Coast or the High Coast. Among the comparative data (although not from mobile data) that is available, we can see that Liseberg is at the top with about 3 million visitors.
