First Camp, Scandinavia's largest camping group, acquires Leksand Resort AB, a leading group in the Dalarna tourism industry, which includes Leksand Sommarland, catering operations, a holiday village and camping at the five-star Leksand Strand, as well as the hotel and conference operations Moskogen and the restaurant operations at Tegera Arena. The acquisition will be the First Camp group's seventh destination in Dalarna.

Leksand Resort AB has undergone impressive development in recent years and is expected to have a turnover of approximately SEK 150 million this year. In total, the operations at Leksand Strand include approximately 222 cottages, 400 camping sites, 20 glamping tents, which together with Leksand Sommarland and Moskogen's hotel and conference facilities and Mat vid Siljan's extensive restaurant operations, today create "Sweden's most experiential family resort".

”Leksand Resort is a well-run business with a strong market position, good profitability and bright future prospects. As a new owner, we can provide capital for continued investments, and we see several areas of cooperation with our other operations. As an example, we can package accommodation at our other six destinations in Dalarna with tickets to Leksand Sommarland. Leksand Resort will be managed as a separate subsidiary in our group, under its own brand and with the same local team as today”", says First Camp's CEO Johan Söör.

”It feels right to now hand over to the First Camp Group, which has the financial muscle to continue investing in Leksand Resort and take the business to new heights. First Camp has a lot of expertise and already has many beds in the Siljansbygden area, which will provide good coordination benefits and fantastic opportunities to develop Leksand Resort with all its operations. I have also agreed to continue on the Leksand Resort board and look forward to contributing to the continued development.”", says Leksand Resort AB's current chairman of the board Kent Lövgren, who also represents the seller group.

”"My colleagues in the management team and I are very happy about this solution and it feels good that our new owners want to maintain our current brand and continue to build on the strong market position Leksand Resort has today. We are convinced that together with the First Camp Group, the future is very bright,", says Leksand Resort AB's CEO Rony Forsberg.

The move will take place on March 31. First Camp already has operations in Mora, Orsa, Rättvik, Borlänge and Falun and Leksand Resort will be the group's seventh destination in Dalarna. Leksand Resort will be owned by the First Camp group's company United Camping Campsite HoldCo AB, a sister company of First Camp Group AB and will therefore be managed as a separate subsidiary within the group. The ownership is therefore outside the bond structure of First Camp Group AB.
