The classic spa and conference hotel directly on Stockholm&#039;s inner archipelago will be developed into a top international destination over a three-year period.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From April, Stureplansgruppen and Petter Stordalen&#039;s Nordic Hotels &amp; Resorts will take over Hotell Skepparholmen in Nacka outside Stockholm. The 105-room hotel, with a position as one of Stockholm&#039;s most popular hotels for spas and meetings, will be further positioned and strengthened within the gastronomy, meetings, events and spa operations through the change of ownership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201d&quot;I am extremely pleased that we can now take this step in the collaboration between my hotel company and the Stureplansgruppen. We have a fantastic portfolio of some of the Nordic countries&#039; most appreciated hotels and restaurants. Now we are taking over Skepparholmen together and will use our combined efforts to refine the hotel into a top international destination.&quot;<\/em>,\u201d says Nordic Hotel &amp; Resort owner Petter Stordalen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hotel Skepparholmen is an established destination for meetings and events, but also a large and popular spa facility. The facilities have made the hotel a popular choice for weddings and special events. When Petter Stordalen&#039;s investment company Strawberry Equities bought into the Stureplansgruppen in 2018, there was a clear ambition to draw synergies from his hotel business and the Stureplansgruppen&#039;s extensive expertise in restaurants and events. After a past pandemic, the investment in Skepparholmen will be the first result of this shared ambition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201d&quot;We are on an incredibly strong foundation when we take over Skepparholmen and their fantastic staff. In addition to the knowledge that we have together about creating good guest experiences, we are also adding an incredibly high ambition for development. Now begins a journey for the hotel that will last for three years where we will elevate the hotel step by step and have our sights set on not only attracting the loyal and wonderful guests the hotel already has, but also becoming a destination that is discovered by new people,&quot;\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;says Stureplansgruppen CEO Vimal Kovac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The seller of Hotell Skepparholmen is Masm\u00e4starna Fastigheter AB. The property will also be owned in the future by the property company Balder, which will have a large and important role in the development of the property. Starting in April, the companies will take over Hotell Skepparholmen and the responsible CEO on site is Marcus Press.
