The industry body, the Tourist Council, is implementing a number of different measures \u2013 but does not believe the staff shortage will be resolved in the near future.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It will take a lot from many people to get over this, says the Tourist Council&#039;s CEO Fredrik Lind\u00e9n.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a long time, there has been a shortage of certain professions in the hospitality industry, such as chefs. But after the pandemic, there is a shortage in basically all professional categories.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Maybe the demand came faster than some thought, but I don&#039;t think it came as a surprise. But it&#039;s difficult to solve in any case.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Long line of projects to find staff<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the spring, a series of projects were launched to help companies and staff find each other. However, the shortage in the industry will be a long-term issue.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It&#039;s a big issue that has to do with education and competition.
