The two floors, which have their own style and architecture, have been renovated with carefully selected colors and material choices that all highlight the rooms&#039; full potential in the best way.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the 1950s, the Grand H\u00f4tel was expanded, two floors were added to the current main building. The two floors were given a contemporary style and architecture and therefore differ to some extent from the rest of the hotel. This became the starting point when designer Fanny Wid\u00e9n was commissioned to create cozy, comfortable and functional rooms for the modern business traveler. The two floors include 75 rooms and the color scheme is in three different basic shades; brown\/beige, turquoise\/blue and purple\/gray, which are broken up by accent colors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Grand H\u00f4tel is a living destination that is constantly changing and growing with the times. We will always be a hotel of absolute international top class and to be that, we must constantly challenge and develop. In recent years, the hotel has undergone extensive changes that include all parts of the hotel. Changes that contribute to there being a clear place for Grand H\u00f4tel now and in the future. It is with great pleasure that we can now show off floors five and six. Two absolutely fantastic floors in their own characteristic style but with a clear Grand H\u00f4tel feel, says&nbsp;<strong>Pia Djupmark, CEO of Grand H\u00f4tel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The modern business traveler in focus<br \/><\/strong>The rooms on floors five and six are welcoming and cozy with light colors on the walls and floors, steel sections and glass doors to the bathrooms as part of creating a lighter and airier feeling. The beds are adorned with a magnificent headboard with patterns that catch the guest&#039;s eye. The furniture in the rooms has a neat design to create space and a large number of pieces of furniture are specially designed for Grand H\u00f4tel and manufactured in Sweden and Northern Europe. All furniture has been carefully selected to give the rooms a neat feeling and create space. The bathrooms are in true Grand H\u00f4tel class with Carrera marble and modern Geberit toilets in all rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 The rooms are created with the modern business traveler in focus. We wanted to let the classic 50s architecture embrace contemporary design with a Scandinavian touch. To do that, it was important to bring in the light and create modern rooms with a focus on comfort. Then it became obvious to work with light floors, glass and light color choices in combination with lovely textiles. Overall, it creates very lovely and cozy rooms, says&nbsp;<strong>designer Fanny Wid\u00e9n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Renovation work at the Grand H\u00f4tel<br \/><\/strong>In recent years, the Grand H\u00f4tel has undergone a series of major renovations and reconstructions. In 2018, the facade of the main building underwent an extensive renovation. Over the years, the Grand H\u00f4tel building has not only been expanded and added more floors, but also changed its facade as the architectural eras have changed. During the latest renovation, the hotel therefore took the opportunity to recreate a facade that tells its story. With the help of the documentation available of the changes that the building has undergone, the best of each era has been highlighted. Like the annual rings on a tree, the hotel&#039;s history can now be read in the detailed facade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To tie together the facade project, the hotel opened its newly built main entrance in 2021, where the guiding values in the work were increased accessibility and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bolinderska Palatset with 19 rooms and suites and the seventh floor with the Flagg- &amp; Taksviten have also been renovated and renewed in recent years. Each renewal stage has its own distinctive character with its own color choices and interior elements. Grand H\u00f4tel places great value on the individual possibilities and characteristics of the rooms, which is why each room is unique.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, the Champagne Bar, run in collaboration with the house champagne Ruinart, has opened in the lobby, and in the summer there is both the Terrassen and the Grand Caf\u00e9 by the quay.
