Arlanda Airport is far from alone in struggling with long queues as a result of staff shortages. The Netherlands' Schiphol, one of Europe's busiest airports, is now forced to cancel a number of flights this summer due to congestion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airport does not provide a figure but notes that measured in the number of seats in the aircraft taking off, there are 13,500 more seats daily than Schiphol has staff to handle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
