She has held several different roles within the company in recent years and most recently came from the position of Hotel Director at the newly opened Scandic G\u00f6teborg Central. In her new role, she will be responsible for the company&#039;s 14 hotels in southern Sweden. Malin starts her position on August 28 and will also take a place in Scandic Sweden&#039;s management team.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Malin is a well-known profile in the hospitality industry, an industry she has worked in for 14 years. At Scandic, she started as a receptionist at Scandic M\u00f6lndal and then took on the role of hotel manager at Scandic Rubinen and has since had an exciting development journey with several different roles, including Area Business Controller and Hotel Manager at Scandic Europa. She most recently came from the position of Hotel Director for Scandic G\u00f6teborg Central, which opened on June 12, 2022. In her new role, Malin will be responsible for the operation of all Scandic hotels in southern Sweden, 14 hotels with strong offers for families with children, business travelers and conference participants and with an extra focus on meeting and event opportunities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It feels fantastic that Malin will become District Director for our hotels in southern Sweden. She has solid experience from various leadership roles within Scandic and has done an exceptional job building a strong team of employees at the newly opened Scandic Gothenburg Central. Malin lives and breathes the Swedish hospitality industry, the hotel business and possesses proven leadership skills and I look forward to welcoming her to her new role and the Swedish management team, says Peter Jangbratt, Head of Sweden at Scandic Hotels.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Malin has a Master&#039;s degree in Economics with a focus on marketing from the Gothenburg School of Economics and also holds a project management degree with success from running larger projects in fitness and health.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 After focusing all my attention on opening Gothenburg&#039;s new large hotel, Scandic G\u00f6teborg Central, it will be extremely exciting to now take the next step in Scandic, a company that is close to my heart.
