This year it will be sunny, dry and hot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 This year it looks like a high pressure will control the weather. It will be really hot and plenty of sun. All over Sweden it looks like there will be high temperatures that can reach up to the 30 degree mark, says Marcus Sj\u00f6stedt, meteorologist at SVT, to Aftonbladet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It will be the warmest in the eastern parts of the country. Even up in Lule\u00e5 it can be around 23 degrees, just right for the herring, says Sj\u00f6stedt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It is not impossible that it will be the warmest Midsummer in more than 50 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Midsummer 2016 measured the temperature at 31 degrees in M\u00e5lilla and in 1970 it was measured at 34.3 degrees in K\u00f6ping. But the record from 1935 will be difficult to beat when the temperature reached 35 degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SMHI warns of high temperatures<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SMHI has warned of high temperatures in large parts of the country during midsummer and the following weekend.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It will be a very warm Midsummer Eve for many and we have issued a message about high temperatures. We do this when the temperatures can cause problems for risk groups, says Emma H\u00e4renstam, meteorologist at SMHI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There will also be no gusty winds.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It may be a little windy in the afternoon in the southern and southwestern parts of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Midsummer barbecue carefully \u2013 risk of forest fire&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are going to have a barbecue on Midsummer Eve, you also have to be very careful, especially in the southern parts because there is a risk of forest fires, says Emma H\u00e4renstam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;No precipitation is expected and it is already dry in the forest and soil.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the hot air, it stays throughout the entire Midsummer weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It will be high summer heat throughout the country. Perhaps the hot air will weaken somewhat on Midsummer Day, but it will still be very hot.
