A one-day strike among ground staff means that German airline Lufthansa will cancel most flights from its two major hubs \u2013 Frankfurt and Munich airports \u2013 on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conflict is increasing the chaos in European air traffic, which has characterized the summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, over a thousand flights \u2013 678 in Frankfurt and 345 in Munich \u2013 are being cancelled and the effects will be felt until the weekend, according to Lufthansa. The space to rebook flights for affected passengers is extremely limited in the near future, according to the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
