It gives many people the energy to focus on their health in order to feel better both in body and mind. Croatia is an ideal destination for health tourism, both for those seeking medical and recreational treatments.<br \/>On January 1, 2023, visits will also be simplified as Croatia becomes part of Schengen and introduces the euro.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Croatia has a tradition dating back thousands of years based on the elixir of life water. Sulfur-rich thermal water and therapeutic mud treatments have attracted visitors since ancient times. Croatia has 103 natural springs with mineral-rich water that are said to rejuvenate, stimulate and cure. This has paved the way for thermal baths and spas. Today, Croatia has high-class health resorts, medical centers and wellness facilities all over the country. Large spa and wellness oases are also located in connection with many hotels, not least in tourist resorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Kvarner Gulf in central Croatia is an epicenter for wellness, dental care and rehabilitation in sports tourism. Thalassotherapy centers in Opatija and Crikvenica have a historical reputation, as health tourism in the 19th century attracted Europe&#039;s elite, including King Oscar II. Today, Croatia&#039;s athletes heal at some of the world&#039;s best rehabilitation centers, such as Terme Selce in Crikvenica. Here, stars such as football player&nbsp;<strong>Luka Modri<\/strong><strong>\u0107&nbsp;<\/strong>but also foreign top athletes have received treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The surroundings of the island of Lo\u0161inj are revitalizing in themselves thanks to fresh and clean air, but also plants provide natural aromatherapy. There are many wellness hotels here, including Vitality Hotel Punta, which received the World Spa award &quot;Best Wellness Retreat in Croatia 2022&quot;, thanks to its revitalization program based on salt and mineral-rich aerosol, plant oils and plankton. Hotel Bellevue&#039;s spa clinic was named<br \/>to \u201dCroatia\u2019s Best Hotel Spa 2022\u201d, also located on Lo\u0161inj. The world-class resort offers an entire ecosystem of wellness based on the mineral-rich cleansing and detoxification of the sea. It also offers cryotherapy, a treatment at -190\u00b0C. Megastars on the football pitch like Erling Haaland have cryochambers in their own homes, as the cold treatment reduces inflammation and provides faster recovery after strenuous physical activity. But it\u2019s not just athletes who benefit from cryotherapy. It\u2019s a fast track to weight loss and is said to be rejuvenating and boosts the immune system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many spa resorts such as Tuheljske Toplice, Vara\u017edinske Toplice and Krapinske Toplice are located in the hinterland of Hrvatsko Zagorje. This is home to many hot springs with mineral-rich water for thermal baths and therapeutic mud. In Slavonian Bizovac there is the Thermalcenter Bizovacke Toplice with iodine-rich thermal water originating from the extinct Pannonian Sea. The thermal water is 96\u00b0C and has the highest temperature in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regions of Istria and Dalmatia also have a high-quality offering in health tourism and wellness in tourist resorts along the coast and on the islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Adriatic Sea is Croatia&#039;s natural health oasis.
