A success for the company&#039;s investment in mountain tourism all year round, according to the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, Skistar reports an operating loss of SEK 390 million, which can be compared with SEK 315 million in the corresponding quarter last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201d&quot;The booking situation is on par with the last comparable winter season before the pandemic,&quot; says CEO Stefan Sj\u00f6strand in his CEO&#039;s statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In figures, it is minus 3 percent, the company&#039;s report further states. The main explanation, according to Skistar, is a negative calendar effect during the Christmas and New Year weeks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201d&quot;Another reason is that we are seeing a later order intake than in previous years, as more people are booking closer to arrival,&quot; writes Stefan Sj\u00f6strand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compared to the previous year, the booking situation is a full 13 percent worse. The explanation for this is travel restrictions that had a positive effect on travel within Sweden, according to Skistar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a review by Di earlier this year, Skistar has raised lift ticket prices significantly ahead of the ski season. The most expensive time to buy a lift ticket will be during Stockholm&#039;s sports holiday week, week nine. During the sports holiday weeks, the company has raised prices by 7 percent for a weekly ticket.
