On Tuesday morning, the country&#039;s prime minister confirmed that the decision is firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201dI believe we are doing our duty to protect the French people by demanding testing,\u201d said Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne when asked to respond to China\u2019s protests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">China has seen a sharp increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country since the country&#039;s strict zero-tolerance policy was recently abandoned.
