To meet increasing travel demand, SAS is adding 10 more routes and increasing the number of departures for the upcoming summer and autumn. SAS is also resuming service to Tokyo starting in June.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer is just around the corner and SAS continues to scale up, offering 10 more European routes and increasing the number of departures to popular Mediterranean destinations such as Alicante, Malaga, Mallorca, Split and Sicily. These destinations are in addition to the 20 new routes previously announced.

SAS is preparing for an intensive Italian summer with up to seven daily departures from Scandinavia to Milan and additional flights from Copenhagen to Florence and Naples. SAS is adding additional domestic flights from Oslo to Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim and \u00c5lesund as well as additional flights from Copenhagen to \u00c5lesund. More seats and flights are also being offered between Stockholm and Helsinki.

SAS is increasing capacity this summer and adding more routes and additional departures to popular destinations. We are also pleased to return to beautiful Tokyo with three flights each week in June and to launch our new routes to Newark, <\/em>says Erik Westman, EVP Network & Revenue Management.<\/em>

SAS continues to increase its presence in the US and begins flying from Gothenburg and Aalborg to Newark, New York with an Airbus A321LR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From June, SAS will resume service to Haneda, Tokyo three times a week. Before that, SAS will offer several flights to Tokyo in April to meet the high demand around Easter. The route will be operated with Airbus A350 aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the spring, SAS will add another flight to Shanghai, making three departures a week.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAS's aircraft fleet consists of some of the market's most environmentally friendly aircraft with significantly lower emissions and less noise than previous aircraft generations, something demonstrated by the Airbus A350 and A321LR on long-haul routes, and by the Airbus A320neo on short-haul flights where emissions have been reduced by between 15 and 30 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
