The only exception was the trips of people from Sk\u00e5ne to \u00c5re, which increased by 22 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Swedish economy is in a difficult situation, which is affecting household consumption, according to Statistics Sweden. It also seems to have affected Swedes&#039; mountain trips during the sports holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During weeks 7, 8 and 9, the number of trips from Stockholm, V\u00e4stra G\u00f6taland and Sk\u00e5ne to the three largest ski destinations \u00c5re, H\u00e4rjedalen and S\u00e4len decreased by 9 percent compared to last year, according to traffic data from Telia. The only exception was trips from the Sk\u00e5ne region to \u00c5re, which increased by 22 percent from 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents of V\u00e4stra G\u00f6taland were the ones who cancelled their mountain trips the most this year. Trips to \u00c5re decreased by 27 percent and to H\u00e4rjedalen and Malung-S\u00e4len by 23 and 14 percent respectively.
