Lars has extensive experience and solid knowledge of driving sustainable development in aviation. He has worked for many years at SAS and most recently comes from OKQ8. Lars will take up his position on June 19.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his role as Chief Sustainability Officer, Lars will be part of the company&#039;s management team with the task of leading the company&#039;s work on the transition of aviation to net zero. BRA has been at the forefront for many years and has had a strong focus on transforming aviation. After the pandemic, the ambition has been further raised in terms of both goals, strategy and pace of transition. Domestic aviation will become fossil-free by 2030 and international aviation by 2045 at the latest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lars is a dream hire for us. He is one of the Nordic countries&#039; most experienced in aviation sustainability development, with both breadth and depth in his approach and expertise. I am very pleased that he has chosen to accept the offer to lead our sustainability work into the next phase, says Ulrika Matsg\u00e5rd, CEO of BRA.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It will be exciting to return to the aviation industry to once again contribute to the business-critical transformation required to continue aviation&#039;s journey towards lower climate impact. The goals have been set and now the focus is fully on continuing to implement existing solutions and actively working on the development of solutions that are not yet commercialized.
