But what they want to disconnect from varies. Most people want to take a detox from work, social media or for a healthier lifestyle. But as many as one in five Swedes would consider doing it to get a break from their partner, family or friends. This is shown by a survey of 1,000 Swedes* by the online travel agency Travellink.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During a detox holiday, the focus is on disconnecting and cleansing the body and mind for a more healthy and balanced lifestyle. 36 percent dream of such a holiday to be able to switch off from work. Almost as many, 33 percent, want to get away from mobile, computer or social media. But even relationships can sometimes need a break and time for themselves. One in five Swedes would like to take a detox from their partner, family or friends.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The survey also shows that half of Swedes choose a sun and beach holiday for their detox. One in five prefers a holiday in nature.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The biggest reason for going on a detox holiday is to de-stress and recharge (37%), the survey shows. This is followed by wanting a fresh start (26%) or learning a healthier lifestyle (16%). 12 percent would like to detox to find inner balance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are there any differences in how men and women choose detox holidays? The biggest difference is that more women want to focus more on healthy food (34% compared to 23% of men). Men prefer to take their detox holiday to a larger city to a greater extent. 10 percent of men, but only five percent of women choose it as a destination to relax.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About the survey:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This is what Swedes can consider taking a detox from:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>36%&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>Detox from work (colleagues, boss, company)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>33%&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>Digital detox (phone, computer, social media)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>29%&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>Detox from food (e.g. sugar or fast food)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>21%&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>Detox from people (partner, family, friends)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>12%&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>Detox from an addiction (alcohol, cigarettes)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This is why Swedes want to go on a detox holiday:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>37%<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; To de-stress and replenish energy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>26%<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; To restart<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>16%<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; To learn about healthy eating, relaxation, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>12%<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; To find balance\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Type of travel destination that Swedes prefer to choose for detox:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>51%<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; Sun and swimming<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>21%&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>Nature<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>8%<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Mountains and lakes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7%<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Big cities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7%<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Small towns or villages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Source: Travellink)<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About the survey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An independent survey was conducted in 2023 by the research company OnePoll on behalf of eDreams ODIGEO, which includes Travellink. 1,000 Swedes and a total of 10,000 respondents from 8 countries responded to the survey.&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Det \u00e4r m\u00e5nga som dr\u00f6mmer om en \u201ddetox-semester\u201d.
