I a protest against the removal of train attendants on Stockholm's commuter trains, 105 train drivers went on an unofficial strike in the spring. The train company MTR responded by suing all 105 for having breached the collective agreement's peace obligation. But now MTR is withdrawing all lawsuits except ten, writes the newspaper\u00a0In the middle of<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday 29 September, a first hearing will be held in the case. MTR is now withdrawing the lawsuits because the train drivers being sued have stated that as many of them as possible intend to attend the hearing. This would entail a significant loss of staff for the train company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In their recall of the summonses, the Train Companies write that the damages MTR can be expected to receive are not in proportion to the major traffic disruption that would be the effect if all the sued train drivers attended the hearing instead of driving trains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
