He was found at Orly airport on Thursday and taken to hospital, severely hypothermic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The man&#039;s condition is described as serious by the prosecutor&#039;s office. He was found when technicians checked the Air Algerie plane after landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regular air traffic usually operates at altitudes where temperatures drop to around minus 50 degrees Celsius. Lack of oxygen is also a risk for those hiding in the uninsulated space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), there were 132 people who attempted to travel hidden in landing gear between 1947 and 2021.
