P\u00e4r will take up his new role on 1 March and will be part of Scandic&#039;s Group Management. \u00c5sa Wir\u00e9n, current Chief Financial Officer of Scandic Hotels Group, will thus leave Scandic.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scandic has appointed P\u00e4r Christiansen as the new CFO of Scandic Hotels Group. P\u00e4r has extensive experience in leading financial, strategic and operational functions at large international companies such as Euroflorist, SAS and Clas Ohlson. \u00c5sa Wir\u00e9n, current CFO, will leave Scandic as of today, January 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 I look forward to welcoming P\u00e4r to Scandic and the group management. With solid experience as a CFO and leader in several large international companies, his expertise will be extremely valuable in the expansion journey ahead, says Jens Mathiesen, President &amp; CEO of Scandic Hotels Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">P\u00e4r most recently came from a role as CFO at Euroflorist, which operates in eleven European countries. Prior to that, he was CFO at Clas Ohlson for just over four years and held other senior positions at international companies such as Gant, Transcom, MTR and SAS.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 I look forward to starting at Scandic and contributing to the continued journey. The company has made a fantastic recovery and is well positioned for the future. With a strong financial position and a leading brand, there are great opportunities ahead, says P\u00e4r Christiansen, newly appointed CFO at Scandic Hotels Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the weeks leading up to P\u00e4r taking up his new role, Jens Mathiesen, President and CEO, will assume the role of acting CFO.
