The passenger development has benefited from increased sports holiday travel, especially from Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Gothenburg Landvetter Airport but also Ume\u00e5 Airport and \u00c5re \u00d6stersund Airport. The airports are now preparing for the summer traffic season that begins at the turn of March\/April, which means increased availability at Swedavia&#039;s airports with around 25 new routes so far, of which 10 are completely new destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"280\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/swedavia_resenarer_februari_2024-1024x280.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-295443\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>&quot;We have had strong holiday travel, which has characterised travel via our major airports as well as our regional airports in the north. International travel increased by 8 percent compared to February last year, while domestic traffic decreased, albeit at a lower rate than the month before,&quot; says Jonas Abrahamsson, Swedavia&#039;s President and CEO.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-Despite concerns such as a weak economy, inflation and an uncertain environment, travel continues to be prioritized. Ahead of the summer traffic season, which starts at the end of March, our line and destination offering is being further strengthened with almost 25 lines so far.
